The Virginia MBA Network: Your link to success

Welcome fellow MBA (Master of Business Administration) students and graduates!



WHO: Meet other locals who are either attending or recently graduated from Business School programs. Prospective MBA students are welcome!
 Virginia residents who are graduates from out-of-state colleges are welcome to join.



WHAT: We gather to share tips, advice, resumes, and occasional beers! 
The idea to promote Meetup events in casual venues for networking and socializing as well as promote other organized business related events such as Angel Investor Forums and career fairs, etc.



WHEN: Initially, we plan to sync up Happy Hour events with VCU's Executive MBA program and to link to local MBA program recruiting events. Eventually, we plan to utilize this network to cross-promote activities like career fairs, special speakers, and alumni events as well as host our own.

WHERE: Initially, we plan to focus in the Richmond area, but will be expanding and promoting events across the 
state. Please let us know if you are interested in being a co-organizer in your area.



WHY: Use this group to help keep in touch with friends after graduation. If you have not already, we
encourage you to join LinkedIn. The average MBA will have 6 different jobs over their career . . . since only 15%
of available positions are advertised in newspapers or online, NETWORKING is the key to your success before, during, and most importantly after your MBA experience.
